Potentially inappropriate medication prescribing among elderly patients with cardiovascular diseases

Background/Aim. The growing number of older adults means higher medicine utilization. aim the study was to determine frequency and identify risk factors potentially inappropriate medication (PIM) in elderly population with cardiovascular diseases. Methods. retrospective, cross-sectional performed 2018, relevant data were collected during period from January 2016 December 2017. sample included 1,500 patients over 65 years disease who had medical records at Institute for Gerontology Palliative Care, Belgrade. Assessment PIM done by standard international criteria such as American Geriatrics Society 2015 updated Beers Criteria use adults. Results. 70.3%.
